  16. The RealPC 1.0.2 CD contains the following items:

  22. 3. Enhancements to this Version of RealPC
  23. ======================================
  24. The following enhancements have been made to RealPC 1.0.2 over and above RealPC 1.0
  25. • Networking support has been added on G3, PowerBook 3400 PCMCIA Ethernet and other 3rd party Ethernet cards.
  26. • Support has been added for plug and play joysticks within Windows 95.
  27. • An enhanced joystick User Interface has been added which displays the type of joystick that is attached
  28. • A fix has been included for occasional General Protection Faults in Windows 95.
  29. • An MMX fix has been included for Japanese Photoshop .
  30. • Several FPU fixes have been included.
  31. • A number of direct draw improvements, such as more supported modes have been added. This allows games such as X-Wing/Tie Fighter to function correctly.
  32. • A fix has been included for black screens in Need For Speed.
  33. • Games performance has been substantially increased.
  34. • Sound Blaster sound quality has been substantially improved.
  35. • A fix has been included to allow the Mouse to work in Swedish Windows 95, Dutch Windows 95, Western European versions of Windows 95 and Korean Windows 95.
  36. • A fix has been included to allow Microsoft Office 97 to be installed from an ATAPI CD-ROM drive.
  37. • It is now possible to record sound within RealPC.
  38. • It is now possible to copy and past text and graphics with the display set to thousands or millions of colors.
  39. • A fix has been included to solve a problem where the e-acute, e-grave, cedilla and a-grave characters appear as black rectangles in Windows 95.

  41. 4. Installing RealPC 1.0.2
  42. =======================
  43. To install RealPC 1.0.2:
  44.  
  45. 1) Insert the RealPC 1.0.2 CD into your CD drive.
  46.  
  47. 2) Copy the files "RealPC™ Update" and "RealPC Upgrade Disk" to the existing RealPC folder on your Macintosh hard disk.

  49. 3) When asked if you want to replace the existing “RealPC Upgrade Disk” click on OK.

  51. 4) Double-click the "RealPC™ Update" icon, on your Macintosh hard disk.

  53. 5) If asked for the location of RealPC, select the version of RealPC you wish to update and click on OK.

  55. This creates a new version of RealPC and renames your old version as “Old RealPC™”.

  57. 6) Run RealPC 1.0.2 by double-clicking on the RealPC™ icon.
